It is lunch time and we go to Bodega Sottano, or Finca Decero, where  we have a light gourmet pic-nic in the shade or we have lunch at the restaurant, as you want.
After lunch we go to our fourth winery Mabec DOC, Bodega Mendel or Bodega Altavista, to have a tasting of a blend which is already the classical blend of wineries born of a liason between Argentine and French wine cultures: Malbec-Cabernet Sauvignon.

Wine Tours at DOC Wine Regions

Plunge into the three terroirs producing 80% of the premium wines which Mendoza is exporting to the world.
Luján de Cuyo :  800  to  1100 m above sea level, 25 Kms south of downtown Mendoza.
Sandy soil, Malbec DOC. Specialized in dark, elegant malbecs packed with  plums, cherries, red pepper and hints of  chocolate and vanilla.
Maipú: 800 to 900 m above sea level. 25 Kms south east from downtown Mendoza.
The oldest vineyards in Mendoza, pebbly soils. Some  90 years old Malbecs naturally produce very low yields, thus resulting in Wines of exceptional concentration and aromas.

Valle de Uco: 1000 to 1300 m above sea level. 125 kms south west from downtown Mendoza.
The high altitude, its pebbly soils, cold dry winters and a wide  difference in temperatures between day and night prodcue the icon Wines of many of the most renowned wineries: instensely red , well balanced, and of an acidity and tannins more stressed than in other regions. Malbecs high in species and with more flower aromas than their counterparts in Luján.
